PRTGNST - Book app

Intro

Protagonist is a mobile app for reading and listening to audiobooks in a social network format for bookworms. In the process of UX/UI design, we developed an intuitive and aesthetic interface aimed at facilitating reading and listening.

Login & Select

After registration in the program, the user is expected to choose their favorite genres and books. This will allow the app to create the best reading recommendations based on the user's personal preferences.

News feed

On the main page, or news feed, the user can find the most recent posts and stories from their friends. These can be either comments on the selected book or personal photos with or without comments.

At the top of the page, there are links to the reactions page and the inbox with personal messages and groups. In addition, you can see the most active user of the app on the leaderboard. Users are awarded points for various actions, such as posting news, reading and buying books, writing reviews, etc.

Book & Bookstore

The bookstore's catalog offers a wide selection of literary works that can be found using a convenient search or filters.

Each book page provides full information about it, including reviews from readers and recommendations for other interesting works. You can buy a book individually or use the option to subscribe to the app and read a free preview of the book.

Text & Audio mode

The reader can choose to activate the text version of the book and the audio track at the same time, which will be played synchronously with the highlighted text, or select each of these modes separately.

My library & Profile

The personal library space contains all the books purchased in the app or imported by the user, which are organized according to their own preferences.

The user profile includes complete information about the user, his or her statistics, preferences, and position in the app leaderboard. Here you can also find the user's published posts and saved stories, as well as access to the calendar, which shows all the days when the user read or listened to books.
