The Aspen Institute Aspen, Colorado

A Total Work of Art: Bauhaus-Bayer-Aspen has been the permanent exihibition at the Aspen Institute’s Resnick Gallery since July 2019.  It’s a general overview of the Bauhaus which highlights in particular Herbert Bayer’s contribution as a student, and later as a teacher.

We worked closely with Bernard Jazzar, the exhibition’s curator, to help bring his vision to life. Mr Jazzar is an authority on the great man’s life and work, and was keen to incorporate Bayer’s unique ideas of a viewer’s “extended field of vision” into the project. Many of the exhibits are presented using Bayer’s original design drawings as working models for the 3D components of the exhibition.

We also created the accompanying book, some pages from which are shown here.

IDENTITY. ART DIRECTION. GRAPHIC DESIGN. PRINT. EXHIBITION DESIGN. 3D MODELING.
