Here's a logo concept for a new project I'm working on called Design Everyday. What do you guys think?

If the message is 'be creative' I think the logo misses the mark, while it is cool, it lacks creativity IMHO.

Black and red, I like. My profile is full of it!

Doing a design, for a design blog is always tricky but I would choose something simple and trying not to design it too much. If that makes sense.

    Helvetica Bold. Done!

I think something simple is the order of the day, not too many visual things to mix with the varied content that will be on the site - you wouldn't want it to clash too much.

This is nice, but I think I prefer the treatment on the Facebook page.

Cerven, what do you think could be a better tagline for a site like this?

Paul, yeah I think you're right, its probably a little too complex for what it needs to be! At the end of the day the site is all about the content and the creatives.

However, I think going to straight Helvetica could be slightly too minimal. In this concept I quite like the top going off the edge of the screen and the bottom drawing the eye down to the categories...

Pete, I like the cut-out treatment on the Facebook's concept, but I'm not sure I like large "DE".

But like you said, for a site like this its especially tricky... lets see what I come up with next...

I think you're on the right track. The logo needs some more refinement (be it textures, filters, or whatever), but it's already an improvement over the current one.
I would prob. drop the "be creative" though.
