Masters of the Universe Illustrations

A while back I was experimenting with some drawing techniques in various apps and worked up this look. It’s kind of a controlled chaos brush and it’s been really quite fun to play with.

These are some Filmation style MOTU drawings using that technique. I’m a toy nerd and growing up in the 80s as a latchkey kid I watched plenty of cartoons and played with a lot of toys. I was kind of raised by TV, which bothers me to say, but, well, there it is. The first time I remember asking for a specific toy it was the He-Man and Battle Cat 2-pack and begged my mom to take me to K-Mart to get it. She did, but not without protesting a little, because it was raining pretty hard at the time. Next thing I remember is my dad telling me that he and Santa put together the Castle Grayskull I got for Christmas.
