Up until very recently the only legal street food in Vancouver was hotdogs, which gave rise to some ridiculously innovative and wildly popular loophole exploitations such as "Japadog", which was basically sushi with a hotdog and bun.

Nice. The only problem I have is that it fails to represent Portland, Oregon as the number 1 street food city in the world (in 2010 at least). :-)
