Co-creating innovative solutions for diabetis . Diabemovil

Together with 20 diabetologists, we devised an educational digital experience to improve the quality of diabetes treatment.

United for a cause: Diabetes

Together with the Argentine Diabetes Society, Sanofi and DMO we joined together to build an action plan with the aim of improving the quality of life of people with diabetes. DIABETON began in 2021, after going through two years of pandemic, where daily habits, diet and physical activity above all were modified, resulting in the inevitable increase in diabetes cases worldwide. Despite this, the pandemic also transformed us into more digital beings and we began to notice that technological tools can help us navigate and improve our quality of life.

Transforming diabetes care in Argentina

The SAD conducted a survey of doctors and people with diabetes with real problems to detect collective conflicts that occur in Argentina and thus be able to develop new digital solutions based on said information. Thanks to the experience of diabetes doctors and people who suffer from this disease, we identify several factors that are repeated in this pathology. Patients need more support, the doctor's time is limited, the same goes for consultations and many times the environment is not prepared either. People with diabetes need support and do not easily find the answers to their concerns to keep their treatment on track.

Diabemóvil: The innovative and educational solution for diabetic patients arising from DIABETON.

Based on DIABETON, we created a hackathon where 20 diabetology specialists from different regions of the country participated with the aim of finding innovative solutions and concrete proposals that provide real answers to the problems of diabetes. During three virtual innovation workshops, four teams guided by DMO used the Design Thinking technique and agile methodologies to hack diabetes. They managed to detect the actors involved and the pain points and then be able to align possible hypotheses to resolve them. All teams proposed and devised solutions that were validated and voted on in order to create a specific proposal or MVP (minimum viable product) per group. The winning project was Diabemóvil: A digital educational tool that uses gamification to empower patients.

Then the UX/UI team continued with the design and development.
