Pro members can now add skills to their profiles!

Go to the Pro tab in your Account settings and read the blog post for more info.

We'll be doing much more with skills in the future ;-)

While I like the execution of the new hiring-related features, are you guys not worried about feature-creep?

Will there be a list or can people type in anything? Like "Vagina Connoisseur"

Very nice, thanks! I'd suggest some kind of live search when adding skills, so different phrases like "ui design" "ui" and "user interface design" are consolidated.

Nice feature. A very welcome addition. I'd agree with Eric though, giving a list of options would be a good thing in my opinion.

@Eric We originally had an auto-complete in place, but realized it wouldn't solve the multiple phrases for the same skill problem (as it would just suggest all of them).

We'll let the community enter them however they'd like for now. Then we'll likely crunch the data looking for patterns. When skills are populated and the searches are working, it'll become easier to settle on conventions.

@Dan Right, makes sense. They'd probably have to be pre-defined options for that to work, but that opens up another can of worms. Great addition! Nice to see the new tools aimed at potential clients as Dribbble becomes a more popular stop for them.
