I live your take on this, Brian. What does the dark / light part of each orange bar mean?

I agree with Ted on this. Everything is really nice all around. The main thing I would suggest to change is lose the color shift that happens mid bar. I think users would expect that it has meaning.
Another thought, by combining bars with a line graph, you are sort of using two different kinds of charts for linearly progressive data. May be slightly confusing.
Of course, take this all with a grain of salt.
This is shaping up to be pretty sweet. I don't really care too much for the diagonal texture on the graph. I think it takes away from the cleanliness of the overall look and feel. In regards to Mr. Meeks' comment about the bars, I tend to agree with 100%. It seems that it's merely an eye pleaser, but in retrospect, a bit confusing.
Overall, very nice.
