   love the blue icon, but the map in the background looks possibly a little too bland, but maybe anything more would distract from the main part.

   i think at 512 by 512, Toby has a point about the map...but at the smaller size..it's going to look just right at 72x72 or whatevever it is..and thats the main thing iMO : )
