I love that the background looks like a crossword puzzle and not your standard "look I'm a designer and I use a grid that also looks like graph paper" ;)

    I like this texture/opacity mix...nice stuff Dan.

Digging the texture on this. Thinking a bit darker gray for the content would help it pop from the background more and increase the readability.

    Thanks for the comments!

@Phil Good call on the contrast. It's definitely going to use to some tweaking.

I'm fiddling around with having a different tone of kraft paper behind each major section of the site, then simply using RGBA to layer the text on top. Lots of fun ahead :)

I love it, the only thing I'm not keen on is how the text all has the same colour (or it appears to), some differentiation between heading colour and copy colour and I think it'd be spot on :)

The multiple layers are fantastic. I like this effect. The wider than normal gutters and the consistent texture are a great treatment.

Lovely texture, Dan. I too agree that the text should be a darker color and there should be some differentiation between heading and copy, but this is hot.

Oooh, very excited for this one, Dan. However I'm thinking your text is going to really need some text-shadow to keep it from blending into the background too much.

    Great work, as usual.

Dan, are you using a grid like other have suggested? If so, then the background isn't using the same proportions, I guess, since the right blocks are a little bit offset to the left from the nearest vertical line...

I love the paper bag effect. I think the texture adds so much more to it. Nice job!

There's plenty of kraft to go around, sir. And you sport it so fashionably!
