My first upload on Dribbble. The dots close to the J are meant to resemble a smiley face.
I'm not sure which abbreviated version to go with (one of the two on the bottom), or how to improve the design. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Really clean work, tough what kind of resemblance does it have to you the smiley face ? after a second look to the top implementation looks like it fits for a snorkel diver :) if you see what i mean. If you want to keep the concept i'd recomend having some custom made letters to fit more the smiley face or find one that it actually looks more like this in the bottom so you can get the sense.
Juan, thank you for the feedback, it is really helpful! In the top iteration, I was hoping that the smiley face would be more recognizable due to the yellow circle behind it. I do kind of see what you mean about the snorkel haha.
I would like to keep the concept but doubt I would be able to create all of the letters to match. I initially wanted to make one like what you linked to (see my sketches at: http://behance.vo.llnwd.net/profiles6/305459/projects/1751040/8d71c5abf19d91afb06946a2611e269b.png). After going through many fonts, I settled on the ones in the shot I posted here. Did you use a specific font in the image you created as an example?
i've been playing with mine from a couple years already. (don't read in the kinky way). And just recently showed some of the work i've done for myself ^^ it's really difficult.

I'm glad I helped.
A something i sketched in paint inspired on your concepts.
The one i used is custom created it's just a couple circles and a rectangle; I'm pretty sure there should be some fonts meeting your neccesities.
