Traveller | Magazine Layout Concept

The goal of the concept design was to create a magazine layout that was clean, structured, and focused on photography and typography with subtle graphic elements that elevate the design.

I achieved this by using a simple black and grey palette that is contrasted by the colors and vibrancy of the photography. The layout was based on a standard three-column grid commonly used in magazines. The images are mostly restricted within the grid, but one side is often pulled into the margin. I used two approaches for highlighting text. One is a special grey box that is again subtle and keeps the focus on the images. The other is a pull quote framed by simple lines and a light quotation mark below the text. Everything else is subordinated to the ease of reading and following the story.
