I think that these type of design is usually 'rejected' because of how Photoshop renders the fonts; typography means a lot when doing minimalistic layouts. A full screenshot would do justice to this concept IMO.
I am a fan. I think the colors of the site sometimes clash with the PSD being featured. I think a minimalistic approach is great. ie. PremiumPixels.com
I bet the design would look really good. The white would feature the psds better; design getting out of the way of the _stuff_ kind of thinking.
But I have to say, the logo looks purchased; it doesn't really make me think of psd or 365. :-/ Glad you're evolving and tweaking things though. Keep rocking.
@Rich, its too simple/minimal. Obviously the judgement is based on what I see atm. Something like DesignMoo or improved version of current design would do a perfect job.
@Umar I hear ya. IMO keeping the site minimal will drive attention to the resources. At the end of the day, that's really what we want to showcase anyway :) Vin hit the nail right on the head. We're still playing with conceptual stuff right now anyway so it may change.
I'm a big fan of minimalism but I agree with some of the comments here it doesn't feel quite right for 365PSD, the logo is weak, which doesn't help. I'm also not a fan of the "arrow select nav". I'd remove the arrow, keeping it minimal, add some thumbs and concentrate on the layout of those (maybe use the thick, grey dotted lines around the entries). I think the logo would be better represented by something that encapsulates the quality and volume of resource (but still minimal). Maybe a black calender icon containing a paintbrush....
Not that I think the 2 are really the same, just wanted to point you out that the logo does remind me of some others I've seen around and doesn't feel super 'unique' (f.e: http://www.printconcept.be/)
Good luck with the redesign, I'm sure it will end up looking marvelous!

I like it overall, but dont really think it will serve well for 365psd.

I really like the actual design. I'd only change the navigation menu and header, maybe moving it to a top bar. However, nice work!

This is good, but I kind of like the current design more...

@Vin - Wasn't it one of your PSDs that clashed with the blue background? :)

@Matt Good feedback. Will keep refining.

Was going to say the same thing Vin said. This new direction focuses attention on the content, i.e. the .PSDs. That's a big plus in my book.

Off Topic: Adobe should adopt web font rendering for their apps.

Just an FYI, I am not against the minimal approach, I dont really like the lot of white thingy. I guess you guys should consider an alt color scheme.
