Does the 'x' delete, or does clicking the garbage can / 'delete' delete?
Digging this, man!
X is for close/cancel. It may be a little confusing because people wrongly purpose 'x' in interfaces for deleting.
For example dribbble... http://cl.ly/8mza
Maybe I should just use a minus sign
Maybe. I for one just used the down arrow again to slide closed.
Assuming that there will be multiple album covers on a grid once implented, I'd suggest letting the delete button slide down instead of the picture going up. Would keep everything aligned all right.
Evan, good to know.
Philipp that would be a drop out :p, but seriously it feels 10x better when used in context.
Chris maybe not
Another great UI element @alexpenny. You really know what your doing with these, they feel so natural!
I say transition the arrow into an 'x', or flip the arrow. Otherwise I love this UI.
super slick.
Since I assume this image will be one of a grid of many images, how will the rest of the content adjust to this movement?
Quite controversial from the usability standpoint. But sweet looking yeah.
mega controversy
Supercool! The arrow needs to point up i think, as for a drop down it points 'down' ;) Great idea though.
