I'm thinking out loud here, but that's what dribbble is really for, right?
I want a tattoo of the solar system. As simple as possible. Making the planets to scale, while cool, didn't look right. I have settled on this as an idea but not a final execution. Thoughts?
Haha I'm only messing, it was for me too. I still like to believe that it is. The idea is pretty good, maybe have a bit more distance between them like james suggested?
Just my $.02, I used to live with a tattoo artist. You'll want to move the planets a little further apart to account for the ink bleeding out a little over time. For the same reason you'll also want to make the tiniest planets just a bit bigger. This will ensure your tattoo is as pretty 10 years from now as it is right after you got it :) Good luck!
I meant wrapping them around your wrist or forearm area so it's easy to see all the planets. If they are on your upper arm you would have to show off your arm pit to see the underside planets. That might not be desirable on really hot days :P

I might try giving them some rough distance between each other to scale (not exact)

Hmm yeah, I might add the asteroid belt in there too.

What about the planets wrapping around your arm like they are in orbit around the sun?

You mean like my upper arm/shoulder area? That could work!

Ah that makes sense. I was hoping to get something just on the inner part of my arm rather than something that encircles it.
