I would agree with that Matt. I've got to get better at that translation. This is usually something that has stopped me in the past from moving forward in taking a sketch to screen, but it just takes practice. I can't speak the same language on the screen as I can on paper.
I had the same problem back in my illustration classes at Texas State. I would grow frustrated. My favorite illustration class was with Mark Burkhardt as my professor. He wouldn't allow us to illustrate any digitally. All of Mark's stuff is by hand.

Many changes occur from sketch to a more polished work. I've become incredibly patient for once and photoshop is becoming my friend.

Like the texture on the hair. Somehow, though, I like her eyes less than the sketch eyes.
