EduDo — Mobile Discussion Platform Showcase

Hi fellas!

Today we're sharing with you our new showcase on the redesign and product pivot of EduDo!

In the second version of the application, our main task was to reorient the existing design of EduDo and grow functionality with a new a new discussion feature, preserving and evolving the established visual language. The same, as old EduDo, but cooler and stronger.

We came up with new elements of visual identity because pivot is not only about new features, but also about a new look and feel.

Since the application concept was changing, primary screens, like Feed, Explore Screen, and Profile, have changed theirs functionality and view.

To motivate users to impact positively on the EduDo community and the product, the EduDo team came up with the idea of Karma Grades. Karma is users' reward for active involvement in discussions, and upvotes of the questions and answers. The user gets their own grade and can boost their status by interacting inside the app.  The most popular and exciting discussions get special badges that are signaling - you can find awesome stuff and insights right here.

EduDo is a video-based platform, and it's important to have a convenient way of working with videos and content at hand. That's why we designed a powerful Video Editor inside the app, where users can take control of their videos, text layers and add pictures and links. Now opinions can be published without using third-party applications, directly in EduDo.
