The composition puzzle

I put together a design game for Instagram. It blends photography, composition, and writing.

The photography ranges from typography and patterns, to light and environments. Each photo is tagged with a phrase or thought I had in the moment the photo was taken. The result is a series of photo and writing pairings that challenge the viewer to find their own abstract connection.

In addition, by the nature of Instagram, the photos are arranged on a grid. This extends the game to yet another layer of composition. The photos have compositional context in pairs, groups of four, even diagonally. Each photo is dropped in the queue at the precise time in order to accomplish harmony, dissonance and narrative.
