Case study

Empathize

To begin, I conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis of the existing math learning platforms in the market. Additionally, I conducted surveys and interviews with math learners to gain valuable insights into their motivations and challenges.

Here is an outline of my research plan.

I examined both direct and indirect competitors of math teaching platforms. Numerous apps focus on beginners and serve as supplementary resources for users' math studies. Some notable examples include Sure Math for comprehensive math lessons, Mathpad for step-by-step problem solving, and Brain Booster for instant problem solutions.

User Survey & Analysis

To gather quantitative data on how users learn math and understand their common challenges, I conducted a user survey. A total of 113 participants took part in the survey, learning a variety of math subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and trigonometry.

Personas

Creating personas allowed us to envision the target users for our math learning app.

Ideate

This is a critical stage in the design thinking process, where the focus is on generating a wide range of creative ideas and potential solutions to address a specific problem or challenge. During this stage my goal was to encourage diverse thinking and foster an environment that allows for uninhibited exploration of possibilities.

Design system

The primary goal of this design system is to provide a shared foundation and set of standards that enable designers, developers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and harmonious user experiences.

I'd love to hear from you. Let’s make something amazing together
