The top box looks kinda weird though, like weird alignment with the bottom one or something, don't know how to explain…
And what are those things in the floor supposed to be? The foamy filling stuff? haha
Lookin good dude, I think people are seeing the isometric perspective as making it look "odd". Probably because of it's level of realism, maybe if you add a couple vanishing points to the perspective?
Here's an illustration of a simple way to do it (i did it in illustrator). You just make horizon line... then add your points (both on the horizon) and draw a bunch of lines from them. Hope it helps, keep up the good work! :)
@Artistdanz not necessarily, if you are going for an isometric perpective. I think the problem with isometrics is the uncanny valley. The level of realism needs to be low enough for people to accept that the perspective is wrong.

You need two vanishing points for a 3d object like a box. You have neither at this stage.
