Hi Ryan, welcome to Dribbble! Thank you for sharing your first interface, looking good!
If you don't mind, here's a little feedback: The book icons on the left look very similar to the arrow icons on the right and they're starting to 'fight' with each other, also choking the text in between.
There seem to be a tad too many different visual treatments, eg. the book icons are very realistic and shiny, the 'Create New +' is very simple and the golf playing/sleeping icons use yet another style.
The same is true for the text, some uses upper/lowercase and other uppercase only.
I'd suggest you pick one consistent visual style for iconography and text treatment, perhaps toning it all a bit back. Just a suggestion, of course!

This web app interface will eventually be a touch interface, so the design is meant to translate rather easily.
