So nice! This has a great overall feel, can picture it working beautifully with your illustrations. I love the 'v' but it seems a tiny bit big and slightly too far from the 'e' (that said, I can see how it would be difficult to get it to connect smoothly). Another small thing I'd suggest is slightly raising the angle of the last 'a' terminal so that it's at a similar angle to the connectors between the other letters. Regardless though, looks great!
Thanks so much for the comments Clarie & Javier! Those are very helpful. I'll fix up those points today. So great to get some fresh eyes to look at projects I've been staring at for too long.
Looks great Jacqui! Claire's critiques are spot on, so I want mention those. The one other thing I would suggest is to maybe extend the bottom tail (coming from the last 'a') underneath Mexicana a little more. It might balance the entire design out.
They sure are Joe! Claire definitely has the eye. I'll extend the tail too. Good idea & thanks! Really happy to be getting more lettering work. They're usually really fun jobs to paint & a nice change from the ordinary.
Fresh/Modern Mexican Cooking - Here's the final version of my hand-lettering piece for enViva Magazine. It was a nice change to solely work with type and its colour variations & textures. Thanks for the help with the sketches guys!

Linear for editorial piece on Mexican Modern Cuisine. Already got accepted by client, but anything I should tweak?

Jacqui, I like this. It gives me this feel of old hand painted signs on the streets in México which are always imperfect. So I can see it working as it is but if you want to refine it, I'd second Claire's "v" comment as well as the "c" in mexicana is too fat from the "a". Also the "M" in Mexicana seems a bit thinner than the rest of the letters.

Thanks Milosz! It's just been painted for an editorial piece, so I'll pop it up once it's published.
