Elise is a fully digital service that allows renting electric cars in Geneva. This first-ever e-car booking app in Switzerland is a new approach to car rental services, aiming to spread ecological means of transport as a new norm of shared mobility.

Challenge

Client approached us to design a first-ever e-car booking app in Switzerland. Selecto team joined when Elise was just a concept, so our main goal was to ensure the viability of the future product by conducting extensive stakeholder and business landscape research and delivering a product roadmap. We had to implement the main idea behind the project: users booking a car effortlessly — at any time, for any period and from anywhere in the world.

Solution

First, we helped the client ideate the product, define a feature set, and create a value proposition. Our team built a consistent and logical flow, which saves the users' time with convenient online check-ins yet follows a privacy-first approach. We simplified the common functionality of such apps, so that with Elise the users can book a vehicle in minutes, unlock it within a click and enjoy the hassle-free ride without any face-to-face contact.
