What goes up, we bring down.

If the year was 1953, when slogans were considered useful, that would have been our byline. We would have ended the Cold War.

But seriously, this is the branding logotype for my studio Gravity Department. The layers of meaning in typeface selection alone demands a written recourse. When the TRON placeholder disappears I promise to explain.

Noted: Unofficial pre-bound to the 20 minute Friday Design Challenge.

Sidebar: the kerning on VI and TY needs work obviously, but is the RA spacing bothersome? Feedback please.

Digging the Gravity typeface, what is it--looks like it's been customized a bit from original letter forms?

@ Ryan O'Rourke – Recovery Bold from TypeTrust, based on much older lettering. It's disappointingly awkward for many words and especially headlines, but for matching my requisites I bought it and love it.

It's a little "off-edge" from nudging, resizing, and reshaping vectors too much. The final cut will sharpen right up.
