   Facing the challenge of a client wanting many items linked right from the homepage... how do you give emphasis and still keep it tasteful?

   If they want them on the homepage, but they don't need prominence, a nicely designed drop-down could work well, so they only gain strength when they need it.

   Perhaps drop the bg color block and just do link text color...maybe an icon?
