Dayum. I love. Only problem is where the froth overlaps the cup. If it were to overlap with sides as solid as what you have, it'd spill. Either bring it down below the rim, or show some small trails of coffee down the cup's side.
Thanks for the feedback, Wil, and the compliment means a lot coming from you. I totally agree with the dripping froth; I'm going to have to actually photograph dripping espresso to see how viscous it really is so I can get it right!
Thanks Kristen! There are definitely some physics & lighting flaws, but the extra amount of noise, blurring, etc. are tips I was very fortunate to stumble on.

Preview of a photorealistic graphic I'm working on in Illustrator, C4D & Photoshop, based on this logotype. Coffee & froth ain't a photo. WIP.
If you like this, you might like my other photorealism projects (1 and 2).
Ideas are yummy.

I know it can't be real, but it's very, very close to it! The amount of detail in this is something else, Carson- good job!

Haha, 'ppreciate it, Yakim. And by the way, that portfolio redesign you're working on for yourself is looking good! Can't wait to see it released.
