Work Readiness Program Instructor Guide and Curriculum

Problem: Create an Instructor Guide and Curriculum for employees that is Northern, reflective of the Indigenous culture in Nunavut, Canada, fun, playful and ALSO conveys an invitation to read.

Solution: Drawing from the Indigenous culture, great care was taken to create simple but colourful graphics that hinted at tools, clothing, flora and fauna of the North. The layout needed to be clean; ample white space allowed the colours to "pop" on the page and the organic nature of the illustrations and background textures offset the formality of the guide. The typography was friendly but "chunky", the headers worked with the organic nature of the illustrations making the text easy to read.
