After some fine tuning, here it is on a texture I spent a while working on

@Matthew: I rotated it slightly, it looked awkward when it was straight and I didn't want to adjust the "indents" of the bolt any further. Thanks!

Looks great Tyler, only point is the contrast with the white and yellow there.

you really picked up some exposure with that little "drop kick in the head" shot didn't you! I'm jealous.

@Ryan: Thanks - yeah I have to adjust it so it isn't as awkward looking. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!
@Matthew: Hah, I had no idea it would cause such an impact

I really like the mark. The textures seem a bit strong though. Granted, I haven't seen how you plan on using the mark so I could be off base.

@Erica: Thanks. I most likely won't be using texture on the website, it was more for fun and to see how it would look if it were painted on a wall ;)

@Tyler: That would be really fun. Find a wall and get to it!

Logo is great man! I agree the texture feels a bit too strong but the mark is self is SUPER solid. Good work!

@Benjamin: Thanks man, yeah I echo your guy's comments about how overpowering the texture is.
Now I have to get around this designer's block and figure out an appropriate web design for this :(

It would look cool painted on a wall inside your office, but I do prefer the clean look. How did you create the texture? Is it a machine washes plug-in in Photoshop, or did you do an Illustrator overlay?

@Skylar & Luke: Thanks guys!
@Monkia: Actually it's easier than that :)
I took a picture of a concrete wall, scanned it in, and then adjusted the Curves and Levels from there. Then it was simply overlaying it on top of the logo itself.
You're right though, the clean look is better.

Oh perfect. That's so old skool and sounds like how I would do it. Looks more real that way, too. Nice job!

@Monica: I don't even care if there is an easier way to do it :) I wholeheartedly agree that it's more real IMO

Can you tell us what is the pattern or texture that you are using here?

@Ignacio: See above :) "I took a picture of a concrete wall, scanned it in, and then adjusted the Curves and Levels from there. Then it was simply overlaying it on top of the logo itself."
I'll try to find the picture I took and link you guys up.
