Horizontal bar graphs aren't as catchy, but do a better job of helping people make comparisons between the numbers: 55/52/48/48/47...
Thanks for the link! I really need to check out that book. I'm aware of the pie chart predicament (a donut is just a glorified pie chart). This is an experiment in both art and utility, so I'm comfortable losing some usefulness. How else do you expect me to make stereotypical cop jokes?
