   You should read Information Dashboard Design by Stephen Few. Really great stuff about visualizations and how our minds process different graph types.

   He frowns on anything that uses the radius of a circle to communicate quantities. It takes up a ton of space and only communicates a small amount of data.

   Horizontal bar graphs aren't as catchy, but do a better job of helping people make comparisons between the numbers: 55/52/48/48/47...

   Thanks for the link! I really need to check out that book. I'm aware of the pie chart predicament (a donut is just a glorified pie chart). This is an experiment in both art and utility, so I'm comfortable losing some usefulness. How else do you expect me to make stereotypical cop jokes?
