A client approached us with a concept for an app. Recently he had to book a table in a restaurant on a national holiday and found that impossible to do. The problem wasn’t just that almost all of the seats were already reserved, but it was also uncomfortable to try and do so. A lot of times he had to resort to phone calls since some restaurants didn’t have other convenient ways of booking.

He spoke to some of his friends from the restaurant business, and they told him that this is a known problem that causes the loss of potential customers. So our client came up with an idea: to create an app that would gather all of the local restaurants in one place and let users make reservations quickly and reliably with no hassle.

Most customers nowadays spend a lot of time on their phones, and booking a table in a matter of a few taps is far more convenient than having to call every single restaurant around. He also came up with an idea for monetization, since the app does a lot of restaurant manager’s work: it offers a way to manage reservations and also has in-built deposit and order cancellation functions.

So, we liked this idea a lot and started working on it immediately, using our vast experience in creating booking apps from both product and technical sides. Here’s how this one turned out!
