Not quite satisfied with the 8-bit Mimeo. He's growing up. Lost all of his pixel fat and with it any character. Not sure where to go with the 16-bit version...
Of course, the original Mario sprite from Super Mario Bros. isn't much to look at either.
Thanks Sebastiaan, I actually shortened his face by one row of pixels and feel better about it (so 8-bit's chin more closely matches 4-bit's). 8-bit crisis averted.
Because he has no forward momentum it looks like he's running backwards. The 3 frame animation is based on the Mario sprite from Super Mario Bros. so if he is running backwards you need to talk to Miyamoto-san. And if you do, tell him Shaun says hi. ;)
