Sketch of a dog for stained glass artwork

This is the part of a test task where I should create a sketch from one of the images of the dog for stained glass.

First of all I chose the image to work with. And, to be honest, it was really difficult, because the dog looks so much cute on all the images. You will understand me if you view the image with the dog on the pic below.

Then sketch creating in Illustrator started.

I use graphic tablet. This is a fast and easy way to bring all ideas into reality.

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the right lines for the image for stained glass from the first time. Special for these moments I add an additional step to the creative process.

I add the dog's image to the Photoshop and using any solid big brush and eraser draw the lines till the moment when they will look well. Then, I save the result and go to the Illustrator to create a vector sketch from the image.

So, I created three sketches and chose the best one to improve. I correct all vector parts of the dog so they make a full image of the animal.

I hope, that the result reminds you the original image.
