A Mercedes-Benz Collaboration for Formula-E

C Y R E N E - Formula-E racecar concept

The basis of my concept starts from hunting. The essence of the competition rule is, that a competitor can turn around, deceives his competitors, because of the new type of rule. It means, that a random selected fan decides, who will be the next „ridden”, who will be chased and caught by the other competitors. Then, the „haunted wild” is officially caught, when the invisible protective cover of the chased car reaches the ”hunter’s” car. At this point, a new enthusiast can choose a new „ridden” and hunt back. Every racer must be once the ridden and the race becomes unpredictable and exciting.

This project was created as a result of a joint collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, when I was a transportation design student at Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and Design. A huge thank you for Robert Lešnik ( Head of Exterior Design department, Mercedes-Benz), Thomas Salzle (Senior Exterior designer, Mercedes-Benz), Gabriel Németh (former senior exterior designer, currently Exterior Design Director at GEELY) for supporting my project with amazing feedbacks.

Closing all the projects with exclusive presentation events, where we presented our works for designers, directors of Mercedes-Benz and last but not least, for the Head of Daimler, Gorden Wagener.

bonus - clay modelling

+

It was crucial to learn how to build and develop a 1:4 sized clay car model, according to the automotive industry. Where it is an important part of the design process of a car, to build a physical, small sized model as a next step. To finish comletaly the task, I also designed, and printed quickly wheels for my baby. Special thank you goes for Klaus Döeffinger for teaching me this unique skillset!

Thank you for your time! :)
