Coffee Time

My homie @Rogie and myself chatted over the weekend per a little illy challenge that's coffee themed. I thought it would be a great opportunity to exercise a tweak in my traditional style. I wanted to emphasis a different perspective and strive for muted colors.

Here was my formula for this style:

1. Illustrate from a 3/4 perspective for a strong illusion of three dimension.
2. No gradients allowed, only solid fills.
3. No strokes, only solid shapes.
4. Round all corners besides joining shapes.
5. Keep the colors at a 5 scale; one prime, two tones and two shades.
6. Finally add a top layer with a solid color at 25% with the blending mode of Color for that morning dream-ish look and feel.
