MOON, iOS App/ NFT marketplace Visual Design

Overview

The client was Moon, an up and coming startup with the goal of revolutionizing the NFT marketplace. The objective was to establish a visual language of this new NFT marketplace app that is ready to revolutionize the digital art scene. Lock a visual aesthetic and scale the design on multiple screens, based on the wireframes and the flow that were provided by the client. Then Build a UI Library of the final UI and create a functional High Fidelity prototype.

Process

Moodboard

I took inspiration from Apps that had sharp edges, pops of bold color, and clean simple geometric shapes. My fonts were san serif, and I liked the idea of a semi transparent text overlay in spots.

Visual exploration

I explored a number of different visual directions, before deciding on the starred design below.

Why this direction & Scale

My concept I chose to develop further was bright and clean, utilizing pops of orange and purple and featuring tight grids of artworks to explore.

Summary (what I learned?)

This project allowed me to take a deep dive into the art of designing in Figma. I was able to spend some time exploring design systems, learning how to perfect files for hand offs to developers or other designers, and polish and scale a design quickly in ways that will be easy to edit in future iterations.
