Website cake

Challenge

The task was to develop a website for selling unusual cakes. I needed to create a site where it would be convenient and pleasant for everyone to order a creative cake for their event.

Step 1: Market Research

The first step I took was market research to find existing companies offering similar services

Step 2: Structure of the site

Complex, overly confusing structure of an online store, lack of thoughtful navigation lead to a lot of negative consequences. To avoid them, I have carefully planned the optimal structure of the site. Casual users prefer not to spend a lot of personal time on mastering the site, giving preference to simpler sites where everything is clearly visible and understandable. My main task is to make the site as clear and convenient as possible.

Step 3: Wireframes

I then began creating site wireframes that show where the elements will be located before moving on to the visual design. The site wireframe will present to the customer in detail how their site will look in the future and clearly demonstrate how everything will work.

Step 4: Visual Design

The design stage combines all the previous stages. Prototypes are wrapped up in a unique visual style and approach to communication, filled with content, and the product takes its final shape. I started the design with a mood board. I selected the style, colors, font.

Step 5: Animation

I made animations to make the site more lively and memorable

Step 6: Adaptive

I created an adaptive website design that ensures the correct display of the site on different devices.

Step 6: UI kit

I created a UI-kit that will display all the basic design elements and their states.
