It's actually a crop of the file for the client. I'm putting to ether a style guide for them.

Top top stuff. The search button seems to have a strange smudge on it.

Good eye Liam! I was wiping off my screen there and thought it was a smudge. You must have the same smudge on your screen ;)

The "Do-it-flippin-now! Button" seems to be somewhat dull. Is that the intention?

Trevor, yes subdued is the name of the game with that button. Really, it doesn't even matter if the user sees it. It can just fade away.

    Love it, but... ;)

The dropdown buttons, do they have 2 clickable areas? It's not clear because of the semi-separator you got there.

Mmmm, good ol' TVD posing the real questions here. Tim, your critique is spot on. I should remove the semi-separator. Good call.

    Cheers.

Sweetness. Did you make this in Photoshop?

The semi-separator, although seemingly superfluous, does serve a purpose. Without the semi-separator, it looks a lot like a button. Even though the down arrow means "this is a dropdown" to me, I would be cautious of making it look too much like a button and not enough like a dropdown. It all depends on your audience. If they're tech-savvy, you might not have an issue. Although we're all occasionally victims of misleading interfaces.

I don't mean to pick a nit. Just thought I should chime in with that.

Jason, yes great point as Tim made it clear too. As this is work im "working on" I had mocked it up to be beautiful at first, not thinking of the implied effects of making it look separate. Now, definitely going to change that.

I so wish fireworks 9 slice would be put in Photoshop as well as a way to access library of common items. I have so many buttons I'd love to have in a photoshop palette that i could just drag over.

@Court Heck. yes. 9 slice scaling is one redeeming quality of Fireworks that I never understood why it wasn't included in PS.
