Remotely — Spacing System

Hi, dribbblers!

Today we'd like to share the spacing system we determined for Remotely, a platform we designed that connects remote software talent with the best tech opportunities.

A spacing system is a series of predefined values used to establish the distances between the elements of an interface. These values are based on a numerical scale, usually the number 8 (4 / 8 / 16 / 24 / 32), and are intended to provide consistent aesthetics and better readability in the interface.

It can be applied to different aspects of the interface, such as the spacing between menu items, buttons, or form fields, as you can see in this shot. It makes the distances look proportional and coherent with each other, helping the aesthetics and readability of the interface.
