One of a few ideas for a new business networking website that puts consumer and business owner together for free with added benefits.
The play is on the name Tu-can-do so there was an obvious link to Toucan. If you Google Toucan logos you are met with quite a selection so it's been a little tricky finding a workable direction to explore.
I have a few other ideas that are far far more subtle and less Toucan like but I kinda like the overall good feeling this gives.
Not sure if it's a little too playful for a business style networking site, but given it's a free service I figure a little "Toucan that can do it for free" is a reasonable association.
Some inspiration from the Firefox logo is clearly evident. :-)
I think this is great! perfect name..perfect shape. Just a few thoughts i had - the colour scheme could maybe just be 3 colours instead of 5.- will help to make it more corporate/business orientated. Also would love to see some sort of highlight/simple lighting on the body, maybe a really simple feather or sumin.looks good!
Jared Hardwick: Spot on with the 'a'. It is wonky as it was part of another idea where I slashed around a bit. Clearly forgot to revert to a cleaner version. :)
Luke Ritchie: Good points. I was planning on creating a more polished version, but only after the client has approved the initial idea. If he likes it then I will see what I can do to it to enhance it any.

I love the playfulness, and I think that's an asset for a business networking site. It's okay for business to be fun.

This is really original and unique, Graham. And, I didn't actually pickup on the Firefox logo influence until you mentioned it.

@mattrossidesigns : Now you bring that up am thinking the kerning between the and is a little uneven. Fraction too much between the a and n?

@Graham yeah the "n" could go a hair to the left, missed that on the first look.

Clever twist.

Something seems wonky on the arm of the "a". Part of it looks thicker than the rest of the letters.
Love this logo though.

Yes, other than the slight kerning issue this is absolutely stunning!

Or make the space a fraction wider between the C A , N D & D O and you're done.
Anyway, lovely logo. It all nicely fits together. Digging the colours as well!
