Four Words

Last year I had the opportunity to work Four Words on some 'how it works' illustrations. Four Words is a lab grown diamond company based in New Zealand.

The ask was to create illustrations that could work in 700px width view and then be cropped to a 350px width view - without removing important content. I came up with the approach of keeping all illustrative content capped at 350px and filling out the remaining space with background shapes. Since their lab grown diamonds are comparable to mined diamonds, I wanted to give the background shapes a more organic feel to align with the natural appearance.
