My first ever icon made in Photoshop, a program which I have just learned to use this week. The PSD source is available to anyone who can invite me to Google+ [EDIT, I am on G+ now, thanks the everyone who sent an invite]; once I'm in it'll be free [http://cl.ly/1j360Z361c1j102W0y26]. Any advice for me, all you photoshop experts? Tips?
Wow this is great! Looks like you got the hang of it :) The only thing I notice is it looks like the shadow is being clipped at the bottom and is a little off center to the left. What did you use before PS?
@Ollin: You transitioned well. Its always fun to experiment with a new tool. I've been playing with Illustrator, Fireworks, Photoshop, Gimp, Acorn and a few others off and on. Keeps things new and exciting.

@David: The "core" of the shadow is definitely incorrect, I agree. I use GIMP for all of my artwork, and I will probably keep doing so for a while.

Wow I'm impressed your previous shots were done with gimp. Use what you like, but this shot is a definite winner and your grasp of PS looks solid.
