BRASIL - Governo Federal 2023

REDESCONSTRUCTING BRAZIL

Yesterday I found out about this supposedly new Brand from the Federal Government and a lot of things bothered me about it. It's good for me to warn you that I understand that it is not easy to solve a briefing of this size, and that the author probably went through a few good things, difficulties greater than my vain philosophy supposes, etc... However, this exercise is also all that remains for me :)

The theme is reconstruction and it's hard to see such an irregular geometry as synonymous with a good project under reconstruction, I tried to adjust some structural details of the R and S to better agree with the B, basically to look like part of the same team.

I was also quite bothered by the inconsistent use of colors, I understand that PT is in some red shaming, but only two pieces?! I tried to better balance this distribution and also adjust the saturation and brightness between them.

Without a doubt, what bothered me the most was this completely arbitrary overlapping of some parts, creating a kind of dark gray that generates an unpleasant visual noise.

I think the overlap itself is cool, I tried to keep it in a more subtle way and even add a new component: transparency. All this play on words and concepts makes sense to me, the diversity of colors, the geometric modules to suggest a reconstruction, the mention of the logo of the last mandates, the much needed transparency... the only thing missing was a little more professional technical attention, shall we say.

Anyway, this is just my opinion about this supposed new brand and a technical exercise in deconstruction, I hope you enjoy!

Oh, and of course, I'm open (as always) to criticism and opinions!
