You do have a very distinct style Rogie and you manage to make it work beautifully for pretty much everything you post. Excellent attention to detail on those lines, the drop shadows and even the overlays. :D Really liking the the textures in there too.
Jared, thanks! These illustrations have been feeling too clean, so I wanted to grit them up just a little. I'm thinking of applying this texture to all of the Mimi illustrations.
Yaron, on the previous ones, I sketched them. On this one, it was all in Fireworks — not a typical process for me, but I guess sketching the earth wasn't a hard concept to describe in-program.
Also, my sketches never tend to be extremely detailed...more of a general starting point and enough to get the idea locked in — details are added in program.
OOOhhh, compliments from another hero, Kyle Sollenberger. Thanks Kyle, means a lot as this illustration, above all, needs to be clear. The others are meant to merely season good copy.
<3 the world man, very nice - think youve nailed the texture you were looking for as well. The send button/arrows aren't in the same league though, imho.

Woah! I love this. Globes are pretty hard to make look good, and you killed it. Matches your style and all. Rock on Rogie.

I too thought that I would never again see a globe design I liked - until this one! Great job. Colors are tremendous and fun.

Rogie, this is truly beautiful. Respect. Are you illustrating this directly on the screen or do you sketch before?

You're making us all look bad, Rogie. Great work.

The texture makes me think of the colored-pencil days of elementary yesteryear. Those were the days..
