Beautiful work. Perfect details. Great typeface as well.
Very nice John! However, the top edge feels wrong...I'm not quite sure, but it feels like the top shadowing is off.
Yea, is that supposed to be hung onto a wall? Or laid on the floor? Either way, needs shadows, I think.
And please, tell me that's stock leather.
@Rogie, yeah I do that on purpose . . . its my persian flaw.jk!
@Alexis, the wood grain is just an afterthought for the purpose of contrast - will definitely add a shadow to anchor it.
Nice! I was wondering when we'd see another shot from you. :)
Gotcha. Again, is it stock leather, John?
@Alexis, sorry! yeah it is this image
Is this real leather or real 'fake' leather? Answer carefully. :0)
This is stunning, almost, and I mean 'so almost' photographic in quality. The detail in the brass hoop is awesome.
I bow down.
Great details. I'm such a fan of leather in design for some reason, and no it's not some sick fetish lol.
Branden : OK, so its not a 'sick' fetish, but it is still a 'fetish'. It's OK, you're amongst friends.
@Graham its real fake leather that has been enhanced? :) I usually stay away from bevel and emboss, but used it almost exclusively here! The grommet is just an 'O' with lots of bevel and emboss.
Thanks for the compliments guys (and girls)!
With the two o's next to each other, I see eyes and below that a mustache.
Good job John. That's real leather that you just copied and pasted. I'm on to your tricks... ;)
@Jad, hehe! yup for sure.
@Erik, luckily that is not the title that is going to be used for the final, I just changed it for the preview . . . Mwahaha!
