Mood of the Week - Sidewalk Plight
This idea for a 3D animation comes from deep within our Junior 3D artist’s heart.
This exact scene happened almost frame by frame in front of the whole office! 😁
On the post though, you can’t have Mumbai rains without a few splashes here and there.
We wanted to do something a little more challenging and retain realism while keeping things stylised.
For example, the car is almost a WagonR, but not exactly.
It was modelled carefully to not resemble any one brand of car on its own.
It’s pretty hard to get that aspect right! 🚕
Another point is that fluid simulation was used to make the water splash look more natural rather than modelling and animating a splash manually!
With this, we say a temporary goodbye to the mood of the week and goodbye to the rain as well! 👋⛈️
