personal font draft 1

The first draft of my personal font for the spring semester of Digital Type Design at CalArts. My entry point was type used in sci-fi movies, specifically Eurostile extended and its derivatives. I sketched out some ideas, and from there my instructor and I defined some parameters: Extended (width), monolinear (contrast), regular (weight), and boxy/round (tone). Next steps include numerals and punctuation, followed by refinements to the entire typeface.
