New web presence for the HAIDLMAIR Group

HAIDLMAIR is an innovation leader in the development and production of injection moulds. In order to continuously communicate this image, the company has been a client of PESCHKE in the areas of marketing and 3D & animation for six years. For the HAIDLMAIR’s new web presence, our UX/UI and programming teams got on board too. The basis for the development of the new interface was a detailed analysis of the existing website and user interactions, combined with a precise profile of requirements for the new online presence.

A number of factors had to be taken into account in the new structure and handling of the website. Firstly, innovation is clearly in the DNA of the company. We therefore made sure to embody this value with the new web presence. A particularly strong focus was placed on the visualisation of the development process as well as the topic of employer branding », which we developed a completely new process for that focusses on user needs.

Secondly, the HAIDLMAIR Group consists of several companies. This meant that a number of different requirements had to be covered for all relevant stakeholders. However, it was equally important to cater for the needs of future website users.

To address all these aspects, we held several extensive workshops with the internal website team at the beginning of the project. With the insights gained from these workshops, the requirements profiles of the individual stakeholders within the HAIDLMAIR Group were subsequently defined. After an additional analysis of user data, the user personas » were developed. On this basis, we designed suitable modules (content blocks) for the responsive web design.

The new website structure thus covers all requirements – both in the visible website design and in the backend handling of the website thanks to a suitably selected content management system.

The latter went hand in hand with the programming of the website », which we took on in addition to the design and which we implemented together with one of our software development partners. The programming was done using ASP.NET in the content management system Umbraco. The focus here was placed in particular on user-friendly and effective content maintenance for the client’s website team.
