This could/would be really awesome, especially if it was constantly updating with "git status" and checking remote repo for changes, currently I use Gitifier but that just updates and sends notifications to Growl, I played around with trying to use Geektool and have it keep constant updated on my dashboard, but it was too clunky.
Very cool Idea, I could see it being very interesting.
Thanks Christopher!
I wish I knew how to write a mac app, but my big fat "Learn Cocoa"-book is still laying around where I put it months ago after I got home from the book store. Shame on me! :)
Yeah I feel you on that one, my Cocoa book is just sitting in the middle of a stack of other books I have yet to get too. I keep telling my self I need to find some time to get through the stack but something always comes up.

Tried to find my way into version control with Git this week and I love it!
Thought I'd play around in Photoshop to see whether it's possible to squeeze a Git interface into the menubar.

I'd love to see something like this too. Sometimes feels like running GitX could be optional. :P
