I agree with Matt, though it's a shame this loses the mustache from #1. I also think it might be worth seeing what it looks like putting the razor from #1 in place of one of the pairs of scissors. I guess that might take away from the symmetry though.
I love them both, but I think as far as branding and identity, I would prefer this one. Keep us posted, I'm anxious to know which one the client picks.
thanks everyone. The missing mustache seems to be a huge bummer. I'm going to see if I can combine the elements from the other logo into this one.
@Jacob/brian yeah, the straight edge on one end seems to throw off the symmetry of the piece, but I'm going to play with the angel to see if I can pull something off.
@Joe have you toyed with the idea of the surrounding box representing a comb? The top edge and overall shape is quite similar to the classic black comb that barbers use. Maybe a tweak to the bottom edge could reflect the fingers (if that's what they're called) of combs.

#2 of 2 logo options for a client. Which do you like more? Any suggestions would be great!

With the "patch" background and the border, this feels more like one whole unit. The other feels more like several things put close together.

I prefer this one too. If I had to say something it might be that the scissors could be too literal/representational.

I like this one. Although, I do miss the mustache from the other version. Nice work.

I think this one works better. But I miss the mustache.

I like the patch shape feels good, but I would also like to see the razor come back.

What about having the razor on the rh side, or have you tried it and it throws off the balance?

I think this logo works better. Don't really think you need to bring back the mustache either. Good work mate.

I really like the mustache of the other, but much prefer this logo overall. Feels very complete.
