Out There on the Coast

A few drops of rain on the head perks this bear right up. They're stoked to take a break from work to watch the next storm roll in.

This image is part of a series of digital illustrations created in collaboration with Alek Mackie. I started by designing the bears for each image and providing some creative direction for the scenes. Alek then brought these ideas to life, rendering West Coast inspired landscapes that balanced realistic perspective and lighting with the surrealism and nuance of an imaginary world. These illustrations were part of a personal branding project and are featured on the branding and website overview pages of my website lucasbell.ca
